Geocaching:
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.
There is a great variety of oppurtunities for example on the territory of Pruggern, Moosheim, Gröbming and Schladming.

Originally this sport came from Finland, which moved the whole body with a cane.

The easier bicycle route is the Ennsradweg R7, which passes in front of the hotel. For Mountainbike-lovers the area offers 20 new MTB routes. 500 kilometers, well-signed routes, different difficulty levels.

Wild Waters alpine path
One very popular walk is the Wild Waters alpine path which leads to the Riesach waterfall. Here you can experience the highest waterfall of the Styria region, watching the water cascading down the mountainside in a total drop of 140 meters. Walking through the canyon right beside the impressive and turbulent waters of the Riesach, you can really experience the power of water at close quarters.

Lake Aich and Kneipp in Weißenbach
The Holiday Park of Aich is situated 5km from the hotel – where a lake, swimming possibilities, minigolf, table tennis, volleyball, children paradise and football court are waiting for the guests!
The Kneipp of Weißenbach is available also by walk, in the middle of wood. We can enjoy the silence and relaxation by walking in the water on the pebbles, which is good for the circulation of blood and refreshing.
Nature Park Sölktal
The turists can see an amazing view between the mountains of little and big Sölk, this ensures an unforgettable experience. The Nature Park offers a lot of tour possibilities, with which we can see the flora and fauna of the region, and we can try the culinary of the area in the little restaurants.

Tour to Hallstatt /visiting Salt Mine/ Salzkammergut
It’s an idyllic lakeside town, with a history which is reaching in the bygone. Salt mines are discovered here for more then 4000 years,and for its healing power it’s also called „ white gold”.Salt was a product about 230 million years ago of the warm lagunes of the prehistoric Tethys Lake. About 50 million years ago there were gigantic shifts in the continental plates and the result was the formation of salt deposits in the alpine region.
There are records of settlers in Hallstatt as early as the Neolithic Period. The salt mining industry has been in operation since 1300 BC, and continues today. A brine-like substance is extracted from the rocks. This is piped to the nearby salt works, where salt crystals are finally extracted. It sounds like a straight forward process. There have been so many implications in the development of the salt industry such as forestry, manufacturing of tools, mining techniques, transportation , and of course provisions for local people themselves.
It’s arrivable with a not too long and pleasent journey by car. The town and it’s surroundings gives a truly experiance just like in fairytales. And if we are there, visiting salt mine is a must!

SALZWELTEN – THE SALT MINE ADVENTURE
The Salzwelten Salzburg/bad Dürnberg
will take you into two thousand five hundred years of salt mining tradition. The pit railway, the miner’s slides and a raft will convey you to mystcal places int he depths of the mountain. There you will meet the Salt Prince Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau whose rise to power and fall from glory are both a moving story and closely connected to the history of salt mining. The Salzwelten Ticket includes a visit to the Celtic Village and entry to Celtic Museum. A raft take visitors across the subterranean salt lake. There, they are right int he middle of events, listening to the heartbeat of the ancient miner who does not pay heed to the warnings of the mountain. While his companions hastily flee from the mine, he continues with his work – until the mountain traps and encloses him for many generations.

Fantasiana adventurepark
A world of fairy tales and dreams that offers adventures for the entire family for a whole day. Fantasiana has over 50 attractions for adults and children, just to mention some of them: Jeep safari, whitewater tour, western railway, roller coaster, giant wheel, 3D cinema, minidisco, dinosaur adventure park, puppet show. The wonderworld of Fantasiana will enchant you and your family for sure.
Opening times:From the middle of April until the middle of Oktober daily between 10:00 and 18:00. It is also a great program for rainy days as most of the attractions are indoor.

Hopsi world on the Planai
Hopsi, the World Championship's rabbit mascot, has been a great hit with our smaller guests since 1982. Now the Planai Cableways have created a very special project for children: "Hopsiland".
At the Valley Station, you will be met by Hopsi rabbit, who will invite you to visit his newly constructed home at the peak of the Planai.
Maybe you will strike it lucky and catch the new Hopsi Gondola for the ride up the mountain?
On the mountain, Hopsi himself will show you his many fun play spots. And he knows the loveliest and greatest paths to explore the Planai and its natural surroundings!
The pushchair-accessible circular trail is 1.5 km long and starts from the Planai Cable Car Mountain Station. As you follow in Hopsi's footsteps along the route, you will find swings, slides, climbing frames and even his very own "Waterworld".
Cooling water on hot summer days guaranteed!
Hopsi's favorite station is definitely the over-size wooden snowcat by the Schladming cabin: Even on summer days, he is thinking about winter on the Planai - makes sense, doesn't it?

BERCHTESGADEN "Eagle's Nest"
